The Cove offers 3-day seminars with nationally-known speakers and worship leaders that are specifically geared for pastors. PRR’s include free meals and on-property lodging (except for pastor’s living in Buncombe or Henderson counties – only free meals provided). The Cove is a peaceful place to study God’s Word with a great balance of seminar and free time. This is open to actively serving senior pastors and their spouse as well as one associate pastor and spouse per church.

This is a time for an individual or couple to have a self-guided time of reflection at the Cove. There are options to have a pastor guide the time as well.

Seminars typically start in the evening with dinner and an evening session, and resumes the next day with breakfast and another session. After lunch, the afternoon is free time (hike, go into Asheville, etc.). Then there is dinner and an evening session, then breakfast and a final session that ends before noon.

In addition, scholarship funds may be requested for other seminars or Personal/Guided Spiritual Retreats. There is likely a co-pay, but the scholarships cover a large portion of the seminar expenses. 

Located on Lake Wylie (north of Charlotte). In an effort to combat pastor burnout, Quiet Waters is a ministry that offers a quiet and completely free place for a pastor and their spouse to stay for spiritual retreat, “including food and lodging, support and counseling as needed.” It is a large house that accommodates up to seven couples at a time (each room with a private bath).

A spiritual retreat center in Pickens County, SC that offers a special place for pastors and spouses to get away for spiritual renewal. 

Outside Elizabethton, TN by Roan Mountain, about 80 minutes away. The rates are reasonable for a chalet with 1 Bedroom and a loft with 2 twin beds and 1 Bathroom, full kitchen and living room + nice covered porch. Elizabethton and Lake Watauga are both within 15 minutes. Pastors receive a discount (approx. $77/night). The longer one stays the cheaper it gets. Counseling is also an option to request.
